Auckland Council takes family glamping to the next level

Auckland Council has launched its new Eco Structures at Ōrewa Beach Holiday ParkMartins Bay Holiday Park and Wenderholm Regional Park.

The Eco Structures offer a superior glamping experience in beautiful local and regional park locations for families. The deluxe tents are 4.2 metres and elevated on a platform. They are furnished with a queen size bed and a set of bunk beds for two in a side room of the tent which is perfect for the kids. You won’t need to bring much from home apart from food as the tents have lighting, tables, chairs, plates, cookware and all linen and bedding is provided.

The large, framed tents are an additional accommodation offering to the council’s existing 100+ holiday places across the region, including baches, campgrounds, Lotus Belle glamping tents, lodges and the Waiheke Backpackers Hostel.

Auckland Council introduced glamping last year to provide a more accessible and luxurious option for camping.They have now extended their glamping portfolio to include Eco Structures, to  give holidaymakers a high-end camping experience in some of Auckland’s amazing park and beachside settings.

There are currently two Eco Structures at Ōrewa Beach and one at both Martins Bay and Wenderholm. Each Eco Structure sleeps four people.
