Salisbury reserve is a local playground off a quiet no exit street in Herne Bay, Auckland within walking distance to the beach or to the cafes and shops at Jervois Road. The fun  playground has swings, a basket swing, different sized slides, merry go round, monkey bars, big sandpit. We think the playground is suited most to pre-schoolers and primary school aged children although older children will still enjoy parts of the playground.  The surrounding park is a good spot for a family picnic in the city and has space to bring a ball to play with and there are lots of beautiful old trees to provide shade.
