Songwriting Course: 1 and 2 October 9:30am - 3pm 8 to 12yrs
There is no greater feeling then being able to create a song or write lyrics of a song. Eliette's Music Academy runs monthly songwriting courses but now for the first time are offering a songwriting holiday programme. Learn all about rhyming, structure, chords, lyrics, hooks, riffs and more. On day two they will record your song for you to take home.
Band Programme: 3 to 5 October 9:30am - 3pm 8 to 12yrs
The band workshop turns FABULOUS musicians into ROCK STARS. So don't be surprised when they ask you for a PINK CADILLAC. The 3 day course will involve original writing, cover arrangements, recording and a show on day 3. Hosted by the ever so passionate Nick Douch and Jesse Reeves we workshop songs, learn about stage presence and build confidence within a group environment and most important have fun along the way.

The New Zealand Dance Company Youth Spring School 2018

Join the Youth Spring School for this highly sought-after opportunity to learn contemporary dance techniques and explore choreographic processes from New Zealand Dance Company dancers.
The School culminates in an exciting performance at Auckland War Memorial Museum on Saturday 13 October. This inter-generational dance project is created in response to the Museum’s exhibition Are we there yet? Women and Equality in Aotearoa and further explores the performers own experiences and perspectives of the women’s rights movement in Aotearoa.
Suitable for students aged 12 years plus.

Is your child a budding actor, director, stage manager, or theatre technician? Let them experience the world of professional theatre at Tim Bray Productions’ theatre company. Tutors, cast and crew guide them in a hands-on adventure inside the theatre itself, including a ticket to the 10.30am performance of the current show.
Children have fun learning basic stagecraft through theatre games, quizzing actors and stage crew about the performance they have just seen, learning about the role of lighting and sound, and touring backstage with the stage manager who reveals the unseen work that makes a show successful.
