Auckland Lantern Festival 2022 scheduled for 10 ā13 February has been cancelled.
elebrate Chinese New Year and the Year of the Tiger at the FREE Auckland Lantern Festival at Auckland Showgrounds on the 10 Feb to 13 Feb 2022. This years event is FREE but tickets are required for entry to support crowd and capacity management and contract tracing.
The Auckland Lantern Festival is Aucklandās biggest cultural festival and New Zealandās premiere annual four-day festival celebrating Chinese New Year, Chinese culture and Aucklandās Chinese communities.
Enjoy hundreds of elaborate handmade Chinese lanterns on display, cultural song, music, and dance performances, craft demonstrations, sponsor activations and competitions, retail and food stalls, and a fireworks display.
The Auckland Lantern Festival will be delivered in line with Ministry of Health guidance for major events at the time of the event.
The Auckland Lantern Festival is organised by Auckland Council and The Asia New Zealand Foundation is a founding partner of the festival.
