Butterfly Creek will be open to the public Wednesdays through to Sundays during Alert Level 2.
Visit the tropical butterfly house or travel back in time in Dinosaur Kingdom when dinosaurs ruled. Meet Scar and Goldie, NZ’s only salt water crocodiles. Butterfly Creek has kiwi, farm animals, alligators, a beautiful bird aviary plus see mermaids, unicorns and dragons in their newest exhibit Mythic Creatures.

Butterfly Creek is spread over a large area of around 18,000 square metres, with around 1 km of pathways, so there is plenty of space for social distancing. We have a range of health & safety measures in place to ensure your visit to Butterfly Creek is a safe & enjoyable one
Alert Level 2 Attraction opening hours:
Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays: 9.30am to 4pm (last entry 3pm).
Weekends: 9.30am to 5pm (last entry 4pm).
