Poi Making Workshop

During Te Wiki o Te Reo Māori at Tāmaki Paenga Hira, come and make poi while learning about the history, tikanga and kōrero of poi.

During this 2-hour workshop at Auckland Museum, find and discuss a te reo Māori word for your poi, create your own poi, imbed the word in your poi, and there will also be poi movements to learn!

All materials are sustainable and compostable, using wool, cotton stuffing and fabric for ki (head of the poi).
