Event Details

Take advantage of this rare chance to learn more about one of the city’s most beloved heritage buildings and Auckland Museum’s ongoing role as kaitiaki (guardians), working to restore and preserve its iconic features for the future. You will also enjoy incredible panoramic views from the Museum’s rooftop.

Each session is approximately 45 minutes long. Learn about the museums step towards sustainability or more on the history of the beautiful city of Auckland.

Suitable for adults and children aged 8 and over. Sessions are limited to 15 people; book now to secure your place.

The tour includes stairs and is not suitable for wheelchairs or pushchairs. A moderate fitness level is required. This is an outdoor event so bringing wet weather gear is advised.  Please note: flat, enclosed shoes must be worn. All bags must be checked into lockers, with the exception of handbags which are secured with a shoulder strap. Umbrellas are not permitted on the Museum roof.  In the case of severe weather, heavy rain or strong winds, the event will be cancelled and refunds will be provided. Auckland Museum will notify all ticket holders by 9.30am of any cancellations and update the Auckland Museum website.
