NZ Scuplture OnShore opens this Thursday and is a fun family day out. Not only do you get to see all of the stunning outdoor sculptures, but Fort Takapuna is itself a picturesque spot overlooking Narrow Neck beach in Devonport. NZ Sculpture OnShore is only on for two weeks, until Sunday 20 November 2016. We think its one of the must see annual events in Auckland each year for adults and children. Here is a preview of some the sculptures you will be able to see this year. We are looking forward to seeing all the 10,000 pinwheels blowing in the wind.
This year for the first time there is A New Light an evening light, sculpture and music experience on Saturday 12 and Sunday 13 November from 6:30 to 10:30pm. So you can choose whether to see the sculptures in the day or the night, or bothAll of the works exhibited at NZ Sculpture OnShore are for sale during the exhibition and proceeds from each exhibition are donated to Women’s Refuge. To date over $1.5 million has been donated to help Women’s Refuge support the victims of domestic violence in New Zealand.
