Come celebrate 30 years of music at Ōtara Music Arts Centre (OMAC) with a FREE open day of fun and family-friendly activities, music, and kai. The day will feature live music from Ardijah, Three Houses Down, Smash Proof, Sistema Aotearoa, and more. Join in free music and digital art workshops, and if you’re feeling creative, have the experience of recording a vocal sting in The Village recording studio.

Your winter wonderland in Aotea Square Ice Rink is back with a series of fun events. Skate or slide against the backdrop of downtown Auckland and experience the magic. For the first time, an Ice Bar will be open to all ages offering cocktails and yummy mocktails. Illuminated sculptures Pou Rama (light posts) will sit beside Aotea Square Ice Rink throughout Matariki Festival (Māori New Year).

Accelerate brings a new perspective to the MOTAT road transport collection while exploring the technologies, social impacts, and culture associated with automobiles. It revisits some of the museum’s most cherished vehicles, whilst introducing new cars and the stories of the people who love them. This one’s for the petrol heads, tech enthusiasts, history buffs, and future thinkers alike.

Snow in the Park

Get out your snow shoes – Snow in the Park is back. There will be heaps of fun activities for children and their families – and it’s all free. As always, the four-lane tube run will be a highlight, with snow delivered by SNOWPLANET. There will also be an under-six snowboarding area, and a snow play area where children can make snow men and snow castles.
