Children of the Trees is a family owned business based in the Waiarapa that makes beautiful wooden toys. Their toys are harvested, milled and supplied to the local timer supplier in the Waiarapa before each toy is individually cut, sanded and painted. Our favourites are their rainbow stackers, custom painted xylophones (shown below), wooden tool bag, fishing rod set and fox puzzle (shown below).

Peterson Woodcraft is a Hastings based husband and wife team create quality handmade wooden toys for children. We especially like the wooden trolleys with block sets (shown below), wooden car garage and wooden teathers.
