The Orewa New World Santa Parade is full of fun and surprises. It’s a wonderful way to welcome in the Festive Season with the parade featuring colourful floats, lively marching bands, cartoon characters and most important Santa Claus!The parade officially starts at 4.30pm from Alice Ave, meanders along the Hibiscus Coast Highway and ends at the Orewa Beach Reserve car park adjacent to the Orewa Surf Club. There is NO rain check date – the parade goes ahead rain or shine. This community event offers fantastic exposure to both commercial / non-commercial businesses, clubs, teams and schools. The parade is followed by the all exciting Orewa Surf Sounds Concert & Fireworks 5.30pm to 9.30pm (fireworks at 9pm).

Christmas Tree Showcase

In celebration of the arrival of international exhibition, Above and Beyond, the Museum is hosting all kinds of aviation themed events and activities. Join EMR and Norma Jean Charters for a guided snorkel and tour in the Tawharanui Marine Reserve – spot the difference between the non protected site at Jones Bay. Minimum age of 8 for the boat trip.  Minimum age of 5 for the shore based snorkelling. Bring togs, towel, sunhat, warm clothes and lunch. If you have your own snorkel gear you are welcome to bring it along as long as it is fit for purpose (no full face masks). All snorkel equipment included. Bookings required.

Cost: Snorkeling at Jones Bay is by koha/donation. Snorkeling at  Tāwharanui  is $40 per person which includes the boat trip.
