Halloween and Guy Fawkes Event

Regarded as the largest and most spectacular family friendly Halloween and Fireworks Show in New Zealand, Spooks and Sparks 2018 will feature fantastic family entertainment in the lead up to darkness, followed by a thrilling Laser and Fireworks Show, all set to your favourite classic rock tracks.

With gates opening at 6.00pm, The Trusts Arena carpark will be transformed into a family Fairground, with rides and attractions, a large range of food vendors catering for all tastes, and roving entertainment. Bring your blanket and cushion and take a spot on the banks of Douglas Field and enjoy over three hours of entertainment, as the countdown begins to the amazing 25 mintute Lasers and Fireworks Show.

Kids Learn to Ride – Forrest Hill

Get the kids riding for summer! Learning to ride a two-wheeler is one of those big childhood milestones, and being part of that experience as a parent is a thrill.

If you are wondering how to get started, or experiencing a few bumps along the way then check out the free #Learn2Ride sessions.Auckland Transport’s team of qualified instructors work alongside parents to get kids riding. Whether starting on a balance bike or making the transition to pedals the team is there to help. Sessions are weather dependent and run on a drop-in basis. Bring your own bike or try one of theirs.

Diwali Community Day Celebration at Auckland Museum

This weekend come celebrate Diwali with Auckland Museum. The South Atrium will host a celebration of traditional and contemporary Indian culture. See traditional and Bollywood dance performances,  Bollywood songs, a Rangoli demonstration, a traditional Indian Wear Show and adorn yourself with Henna.Cost: FREE for Aucklanders.

The Unbelieve-a-Bubble Science Show


The Fickling Convention Center, 546 Mt Albert Road

An exciting hour long show that explores the science that goes into making bubbles well, so incredi-bubble! Explore rubber bubbles, bubbles in a bubble or even see a bubble on fire! Suitable kids aged 5 years to adults.

A Day in India – Diwali Celebrations

Come celebrate Diwali at UXBRIDGE. Enjoy participating and learning about the rich and vibrant indian culture we all love. Plus see a film in the theatre followed by an afternoon of traditional music and dance with a fusion of East and West with Sargam Fusion Band.

Vector Lights for Armistice Day Centenary

Sunday 4 to Sunday 11 November 2018: 8:00pm to midnight

At the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month in 1918, an Armistice was signed that ended WWI. Vector Lights commemorates Armistice Centenary 2018 with a lighting and audio show. The lighting design is accompanied by “Sons of Gallipoli” as sung by the Auckland Boys Choir, followed by the Last Post.

Scandinavian Christmas Market
