Brick Bay Sculpture Trail
Snells Beach, Auckland
Auckland for Kids visited Brick Bay Sculpture Trail at Snells Beach, near Matakana and Warkworth. Brick Bay Sculpture Trail has an ever-changing exhibition of contemporary sculptures by New Zealand artists.
The 2km sculpture trail is set amongst native trees and green pastures and overlooks the Brick Bay Vineyard. The trail is an easy walk taking approximately an hour, and is alright for buggies but as there are stairs in places, frontpacks or backpacks for little ones are an easier alternative.
There is also a restaurant on site The Glass House Kitchen which offers relaxed all-day dining and caters for children. They have a Kid’s Menu available from 10am to 3pm and if you have little ones there are high chairs and baby-changing facilities available. Plus there are sandpits, swings and climbing frames outside to keep the kids entertained.
