The PumpHouse Theatre
Workshops for 7 – 11 year olds. Children learn various performance techniques through movement, improvisation, mime and speech.
Children develop and enhance teamwork, social skills, self esteem and confidence. At the end of the programme the children will have the opportunity to perform for family members.
Beginners Drama for Children

June Renwick, was HOD Performing Arts at Selwyn College for 24 years, as well as instigator of the Junior Performing Arts, introduces children to the elements of drama. Children will use improvisation and role play, creating scripts and study plays for children. Ages: 8 to 10 years

Rehearsals are every Sunday afternoon in age related time slots. NYTC's OnStage is an all-access training programme for young people between the ages of 7 and 21. No audition is needed to be part of the chorus, and lead roles are auditioned from within the cast. Rehearsals are broken up through the day by age group, and all of the skills you need to participate in the show are taught by NYTC's experienced tutors.

Ever wanted to Act, Sing and Dance like the kids on Glee? If you love performing onstage and want to build up your skill set, increase your confidence and just have fun with your friends then this is the class for you. Over the term you will learn to sing confidently in a group and as a soloist, be able to perform a dance routine to a performance standard and learn Acting technique and how to put it into practice.
