Fun, creative and confidence-building drama classes for ages 5–15 on Auckland’s North Shore.

Kea Performing Arts offers drama classes for kids and teens in Devonport, Browns Bay and Takapuna. Classes are designed to help children build confidence, develop acting and communication skills, and make new friends in a fun and supportive environment. Each week includes team games, drama activities, and creative exercises that allow children to express themselves and shine.

St Leo’s Church Hall, Devonport – Auckland

Tuesday:

    • 4pm: 5–7 yrs

    • 5pm: 8–10 yrs

    • Expressions of interest for 11-15 yrs

Heart of the Bays Community Centre, Browns Bay – Auckland

Wednesday:

    • 4pm: 5–7 yrs

    • 5pm: 8–10 yrs

    • 6pm: 11–15 yrs

St George’s Church Hall, Takapuna – Auckland

Thursday and Friday:

    • 4pm: 5–7 yrs

    • 5pm: 8–10 yrs

    • 4pm: 11–15 yrs (Fridays)

Classes run each New Zealand school term. Please check the Kea Performing Arts website for the latest enrolment dates.

 

Course Fees

$230 for a 10-week course (including GST).

FAQs

What ages do you teach? 
Kea Performing Arts offers classes for children aged 5 to 15 years. Classes are grouped by age (5–7 years, 8–10 years, and 11–15 years) so that each child can learn at the right level with peers their own age.

Where are classes held?

Kea Performing Arts holds classes at community venues on Auckland’s North Shore. Children and teens can join sessions in Devonport, Browns Bay, and Takapuna.

What happens in a drama class?

Each session includes warm-up games, creative exercises and acting activities.  Students learn performance skills while also building confidence and teamwork.

Do children get performance opportunities?

Yes. Students have the chance to perform during the year, helping them build stage experience and celebrate their achievements with family and friends.
