Artz On Show run school holiday workshops to educate young students aged 5-15 in all facets of the Arts while helping to build confidence and self-esteem.
Each workshop is centred around a theme, with the July Workshop being based on Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. Workshops inspire creative choices in music and script, offering a variety of Performing Arts classes during the school holidays with students working towards performing in a final showcase.

Youth Seasonal schools run in the Autumn, Winter, Spring & Summer school holidays
NZDC Youth Winter School provides a unique opportunity for aspiring young dancers to work closely with dancer and choreographer Sean MacDonald as well as professional NZDC Company dancers. Coinciding with Matariki, the 2019 Youth Winter School participants will focus on Matariki themes and learnings, culminating in a performance with the Company for Sean’s premiere work – Matariki for Tamariki – at each centre.

Under the direction of the creative team from Tim Bray Youth Theatre, students will have the opportunity to explore their performance skills, build confidence, and create a unique piece of theatre, ready to ‘Hit the Stage!’ at the end of the week with a free entry performance for family and friends.
The week is designed to build the young actor’s confidence and skill, incorporating aspects of stagecraft such as ensemble work, voice, movement, improvisation, characterisation, even singing and script work if required in the show.
