Full week, one day, two day and three day programmes run in each of the Spring, Summer, Autumn and Winter school holidays.
TAPAC runs a range of popular school holiday programmes. Programmes are taught by practicing industry professionals. No experience is required, there’s something to suit all abilities and ages from 5 to 17 years.

Workshop runs from 9am to 3pm and extended hours from 8am to 5:30pm (4pm on final day) are included to cater for busy parents.
Every school holidays Kids Up Front works with enthusiastic boys and girls to put on a fabulous Musical Show and the Jan 2022 theme is yet to be announced. Children have singing, dancing and drama sessions in their age groups with specialist tutors. The programme culminates on the last day with a wonderful musical show in the theatre at 3pm for parents and friends to enjoy.

Artz On Show run school holiday workshops to educate young students aged 5-15 in all facets of the Arts while helping to build confidence and self-esteem.
Each workshop is centered around a theme, with the January 2022 school holiday activities being based on The Jungle Book. Workshops inspire creative choices in music and script, offering a variety of Performing Arts classes during the school holidays with students working towards performing in a final showcase.

Auckland may be in lockdown, but Brickworks Drama School still has some online drama fun planned these holidays! It’s drama on Zoom, or as they like to call it “Droom”. And you don’t have to live in Auckland to join in! In fact, you could invite your Australian cousins to Droom with Brickworks…
The online drama workshops will keep your 6 – 14 year old kids entertained while developing their confidence, communication, and teamwork under the guidance of experienced tutors Natascha Diaz and Lauren Jackson.
Each day has a theme and is self-contained, so single-day bookings are fine. Students will work in their age groups: 6 – 9 years, and 10 – 14 years. They will also take them through a craft activity each day, using everyday household items.

Brickwork’s exciting drama workshops are self-contained days with a central theme, finishing with a showcase by the kids at 3pm each day for parents and caregivers. Students gain confidence, enhancing their communication and teamwork skills through games and exercises taught by the experienced Brickworks drama tutors. Each day also includes a craft activity.

Hit the Stage! school holiday theatre workshops

The January 2022 Hit the Stage! program cannot run due to renovations at TAPAC and the unavailability of other venues.
Under the direction of the creative team from Tim Bray Youth Theatre, students will have the opportunity to explore their performance skills, build confidence, and create a unique piece of theatre, ready to ‘Hit the Stage!’ at the end of the week with a free entry performance for family and friends. Workshops are offered for kids aged 7 to 12 years.
The week is designed to build the young actor’s confidence and skill, incorporating aspects of stagecraft such as ensemble work, voice, movement, improvisation, characterisation, even singing and script work if required in the show.

Dance away the holidays and join in the fun! Over one week 8 to 12 year olds learn a variety of dance techniques and routines with fun games and team building activities. The dance programme is about engaging young people in a positive way during the school holidays. Students finish the week with a fun performance for family and friends. No dance experience is needed.
