Making Family Fun in Auckland Easy!
Hi, I’m Carol Gernhoefer, an Auckland-based mum of two adventurous girls who love art, theatre, sports, and exploring! Like many parents, I was always searching for fun things to do with my kids—so much so that friends kept asking, “How did you find that?”
That’s why I created Auckland for Kids—your go-to guide for discovering the best family-friendly events, activities, and experiences in Auckland. Whether you have toddlers, tweens, or teens, you’ll find everything you need in one place to make the most of your family time.
Who is the team at Auckland for Kids?
Auckland for Kids is a family-run New Zealand business, created and curated by me! I’m a chartered accountant turned entrepreneur with a passion for helping families discover the best things to do in Auckland.
Beyond running Auckland for Kids, I love giving back to the community and have served on the boards of Auckland Museum, Stardome Observatory & Planetarium, and Rare Disorders New Zealand. My husband and two daughters are my biggest supporters—and toughest critics! They always give me their honest feedback on events and places we visit so we can share only the best recommendations with you.
