ANZAC day commemorates all New Zealanders and Australians who have fought and died for their country.  ANZAC Day is marked annually on 25 April, the anniversary of the Gallipoli campaign of the First World War.  ANZAC Day falls on Friday 25 April 2025 this year and is a public holiday.

The red poppy is an international flower of remembrance and in New Zealand and Australia it is worn on Anzac Day.
