Event Details

Glenbrook Vintage Railway will be lighting up Franklin with festive cheer this year with its award-winning Christmas experience.

Spanning 17 magical nights from December 5th – 7th & 10th – 23rd, visitors can step into a world of wonder as GVR transforms into a dazzling Christmas village complete with festive markets, twinkling decorations, and the largest light tunnel in New Zealand.

Enjoy Santa’s grotto, FREE photos with Santa, night markets, train rides, entertainment, and lots more.

The event will be open from 6pm till 11pm with trains departing at least every half hour to the workshops and return.

It’s a Christmas experience like no other, where heritage steam trains meet the magic of the season under the stars.
