Dia de Muertos (Day of the Dead) is a multi-day festival celebrated throughout Mexico and parts of Latin America that honours loved ones who have died.
Decorated altars (ofrendas) are made to celebrate their lives and to help guide their spirits back to the land of the living.
Come along to the Creative Learning Centre at Auckland Art Gallery to learn more about the significance of this traditional celebration and create authenic Mexican crafts to add to our special altar at the Gallery.
This activity is for visitors of all ages. and is on from — 10am – 5pm, every day.
