Take a closer look at one of Auckland’s best-loved buildings, learn the stories you didn’t know and find out some of the Museum’s secrets. 

Hear stories of the architects, see what’s inside the wall cavities, and take a closer look at how Auckland Museum has changed over the years and how it’s structural treasures have been preserved.  

Have you ever wondered what the Museum looked like 90 years ago? You’ll finish up in the Library Reading Room to pore over early plans and photos of the Museum over the years, that are not usually accessible to the public. 

Suitable for ages 8 years plus.
On at 1pm Daily. Meet at the Tour Banner in the Grand Foyer of the Museum.
