Make your own rainbow in Aotea Square!

Have you heard? Thereās a rainbow making machine coming to Aotea Square during the April School Holidays!
As autumn weather arrives and light in the sky changes, itās the perfect time to make rainbows appear before your very eyes! To create this awesome experience, artists, architects and scientists got together and built a Rainbow Machine.
So come and explore Aotea Square in the heart of TÄmaki Makaurau Auckland and the many amazing activities nearby; there’s so much fun to be had for the whole whÄnau.
On daily from Wed 13th April to Sun 1st May from Sunrise to Sunset.
How the Rainbow Machine works:
Step 1: Turn the cone towards the sun using the wheels on the side (one large and one small)
Step 2: Keep turning the machine until you capture the sunshine
Step 3: Natural light passes through prisms and mirrors at the top of the cone, refracting the light to create a rainbow!
Step 4: Keep experimenting- the amazing thing is that no two rainbows are the same so each one will be uniquely yours!
