Event Details

Smales Farm’s Matariki Star Trail is is a magical urban expedition, a search for the 7 stars that form the Matariki cluster.

Search the grounds of Smales Farm for seven giant and beautifully illuminated stars created by renowned light designer, Angus Muir. 

During the July school holidays, each star will be strategically located around Smales Farm for star-seekers to find.

Open daily from 1 July to 15 July.  The Stars are there in the day, but we recommend going when it’s dark after 5pm, as the Stars will be easier to find after dark!
