A family friendly fun day with stalls for education and information, like Forest & Bird, Million Metres, Whitebait Connection, Birds New Zealand and Pest Free Waitakere Ranges, plus stalls with locally made produce and products. Plus the famous Matuku Link fundraising bbq and cake stall will be there.
Spot the weta, fantail, tui or kereru and perhaps even spy on our resident pateke or the rare and elusive namesake Matuku (bittern). Guided walks, the official opening of our boardwalk, eel feeding and bug spotting: something to enjoy for everyone.
Join in a day of wetland appreciation and fun at 111 Bethells Road, Te Henga/Bethells, West Auckland, parking on site, entry opposite the Waitakere Valley Fire Station.
