MOTAT is showcasing the Road Transport collection, celebrating the history of vehicles in New Zealand and modern vehicle technology on 20 June.
Items on display include the recently restored Douglas BSA Ladies motorbike and gentleman’s motorbike, the Chrysler Imperial, Ministry of Transport Mitsubishi V3000, FUSO Truck, A V8 International Engine on a stand running periodically, and an Austin A40 cutaway chassis.
There will be a Make and Take activity for the kids, Little Flick Rides at MOTAT 1, Steam Train rides at MOTAT 2, Trams running, the Blacksmith in the Forge, and more.
General Admission FREE Children under 5; $10 Children (5-15 Years); $19 Adults; $45 Family Pass (2 adults + up to 4 children); $10 Students with NZ Student ID card; FREE SuperGold Card Holders with ID; $10 Overseas Seniors (non NZ, aged 65+).
