Tāmaki Herenga Waka Festival 2020 is a free and whanau-friendly event on Auckland’s waterfront.

Spend a wonderful evening on the beautiful  Waitematā  harbour  with  music,  storytelling,  performances, and a marketplace  featuring  art and  kai.

  • Waka
  • Kapa haka performances by Ngā Tumanako
  • Land and on-water programme featuring the soulful sounds of Maisey Rika, Louis Baker and Seth Haapu.  Modern Maori Quartet will be onstage to entertain with show stopping classics and Tomorrow People will be there to share the summer festival vibe with all of  Tamaki Makaurau.
  • A marketplace featuring the Pou Rama lighting installation and where Maori kai and ingredients are celebrated through kai neighbourhoods.
  • Visual storytelling on a spectacular water screen

Join in thanking  Tāmaki  Makaurau  Auckland’s  iwi for their guidance and support in bringing this festival to life.
