Join The Creative Kids Collective, the West Auckland Resource Centre and The Community Collective on Saturday March 20th at the Western Springs Garden Community Hall for a extravaganza of inventiveness and innovation using junk resources.
The Tinker Shed is for kids aged 5 to 12 years. Children are invited to tinker, explore, imagine inventions that can save the world. Tinkering is what happens when you try something you don’t quite know how to do, guided by imagination and curiosity. When you tinker there are no instructions, but there are also no failures, no right or wrong way of doing things. Tinkering can involve taking something that already exists, figuring out how it works and then reworking it to make something different. This is a fully child led installation of junk for a wee adventure of the imagination.
Thanks to the Albert Eden Local Board for funding fun imaginative stuff for kids – yay!!
The Creative Kids CollectiveThe Creative Kids Collective is a coming together of passionate and artistic people who believe that creativity is vital for a sustainable happy future. That journey starts with children and their right to freely create and play.
