Event Details

MOTAT is set to launch imaginations, spark enthusiasm, and challenge youngsters to expand their thinking beyond this world! Discover the wonders of flight this summer at Up and Away! An action-packed holiday experience all about the scientific principles behind how things fly. Featuring four activity stations delving into the science that makes air travel and space exploration possible.

Challenge your navigation and problem-solving skills with the Up and Away Trail, build a model satellite to be launched in a rocket from the Blasting Off station, investigate the forces of weight, lift, and drag in the vertical air tunnel at the Flight Lab, and test the limits of your senses on the 360-rotation gyroscope!

It’s the perfect day out for young aviation enthusiasts, adventure, aspiring engineers, adventure seekers and keen explorers. Don’t miss this exciting new holiday experience running in conjunction with Boeings international travelling flight exhibition, Above and Beyond, on display in New Zealand exclusively at MOTAT until 11 March 2019.
