Kids go FREE on Weekdays in the Spring 2023 school holidays at Brick Bay Sculpture Trail. 

Explore incredible kauri forests, lakes and farmland abundant with native birds all while discovering over 60 sculptures from NZ’s leading contemporary artists at Brick Bay. Every young explorer gets a Trail Map to learn about the artwork and nature they discover along the trail!

On the Sculpture Trail there are artworks that can be touched and interacted with? Climb the steps to become enclosed within the The Nest structure – built from recycled timber and inspired by a fantail’s woven home. Find the set of giant cast concrete knucklebones strewn down the hill, perfect for lounging on. Ring the set of bronze bells with kowhai clangers and send sounds echoing out into the bush landscape. Slide cedar beads along hand-crafted brass rods, to count on a large-scale abacus.

Kids get FREE entry to the Sculpture Trail Mon–Fri through the September and October school holidays! Up to 3 kids per paying adult ($12).

Brick Bay is open 7 days: Monday to Friday 10am – 4pm and Saturday to Sunday 10am – 5pm. The Sculpture Trail takes approximately an hour to walk, therefore entry to the trail closes at 3pm Monday to Friday and 4pm Saturday and Sunday. We recommend wearing walking shoes for the trail.
