Kids aged 10 to 14 years old will learn to take photos of animals, nature and people, plus how to use the creative scene modes on their camera.

Auckland Zoo’s team of approved professional photography tutors have a range of experience, styles and interests. They are fun, enthusiastic and all well versed in life at Auckland Zoo. You’ll enjoy their fascinating stories, experiences and insights as they guide you on a photographer’s journey through Auckland Zoo. You’ll confidently master your camera in the companionship of a small group of photography enthusiasts.

Please note, this is a kids’ workshop where parents and spectators are not able to accompany participants.

Think you’ve got what it takes to be the next Taika Waititi? This fun, engaging programme will unlock the secrets to great directing and screenwriting. You’ll learn about constructing scenes and shots, screen geography, storyboarding scenes, editing, chase scenes, shooting indoors and outdoors. Students will take turns directing and being directed from sample scripts to gain a full understanding of the role.
