Mission Control: Mars

Blast off to Mars these school holidays in a special development season presentation of a thrilling interactive space adventure. You’ll be right in the middle of the story as a skilled engineer on an international space station in the year 2034. In charge of your own digital console you’ll be guided by the Mission Commander as you maintain the Habitat and get ready for the launch of the Rocket. But when a solar flare endangers your community, it’ll be up to you and your fellow players to save the day.

This 45-minute immersive experience by HACKMAN, creators of the acclaimed “Destination Mars”, combines live performance with the power of video game engine technology. This high-stakes mission is perfect for intrepid kids aged 7+ and grown-ups seeking an out-of-this-world escape.

Up in Space & Under the Sea School Holiday Programme at Whangarei District Libraries

Come along and enjoy fun activities and stories that are out of this world! There will also be a special visit from Aki Fukuoka, illustrator of the Billie B Brown and Sam Kerr books. All children attending these events must be accompanied by an adult. There is no need to book, just show up and enjoy the fun!

Latin America and Spain film Festival – AINBO
