A bach the size of a matchbox. A tattooed sailor. A fork with a startling backstory.

Captains, Collectors, Friends & Adventurers invites you to discover the Maritime Museum’s hidden treasures. Come face-to-face with some of Aotearoa’s legendary mariners, peer into miniature worlds and marvel at the unexpected links that can be made between people, places and events.

From albatrosses to textile art, vintage menus to a bell that travelled the globe, there’s something for the captain, collector, friend and adventurer in all of us.

On daily from 10am to 5pm until 30th June 2023.

The Museum is open every day (except Christmas Day) from 10am – 5pm.
