South Auckland’s BIGGEST environmental event, Eye on Nature is back for 2021!

Join hundreds of Auckland families at this eco educational event offering fun games and activities for all ages. Set in the beautiful surrounds of Auckland Botanic Gardens, the Eye on Nature Family Day Trail is free and open to the public. The day presents a myriad of whānau-friendly activities, delivered by environmental leaders who are experts in their field to entertain and educate families.

Eye on Nature is in its 9th year of existence and each year, we see more visitors and even more exciting activities on offer to the community. Something for everyone – with an array of wonderful environmental partners showcasing the work they do in line with our event theme; From the Mountains to the Sea WATER IS LIFE Mai nga maunga ki te moana, ko te wai te oranga. Explore the trail for the full Eye on Nature experience!

This event is absolutely FREE, including free parking from Everglade Drive, activities, water and performances.

This is a zero waste event, please bring your own reusable items including your drink bottle and help make a difference.

Water stations to fill up your water bottle and healthy food options that you can purchase will be available from 10am.

This event is brought to you by the Manukau Beautification Charitable Trust and supported by Auckland Council, Auckland Botanic Gardens, Howick Local Board, Papakura Local Board, Otara-Papatoetoe Local Board, Franklin Local Board, Māngere-Ōtāhuhu Local Board, Manurewa Local Board and amazing environmental partners from around New Zealand.
