Event Details

For the October school holidays the Auckland Museum has a self-guided trail for kids to follow.

Fact or Fake? The Tāmaki Truth Trail
Can you tell reality from rumour? Find out the secrets and stories of the Auckland Museum, Tāmaki Makaurau and beyond. Children will need to follow the clues and discover which stories are facts and which are fake. This self-guided tour will take you all over the Museum; top to bottom, inside and out as you fact-check stories from The Tāmaki Truth newspaper. Once you’ve found a source, you’ll need to decide whether it’s trustworthy or trickery.

Simply pick up a copy of The Tāmaki Truth from the Museum entrance and start your journey. Branded pencils will be available for a gold coin donation or you can bring your own from home.
