Event Details
Every year, the Farmers Santa Parade marks the beginning of the festive season in Aotearoa, sprinkling magic, song, and dance down Auckland’s Queen Street. Next month, the parade will return for its 92nd year with an unmissable line-up of family favourites.
The festive FREE annual event will be held in Auckland on Sunday, November 30th, 2025. Spectators can expect to see the parade hero, Santa, alongside a suite of new characters and floats.
Attendees are encouraged to arrive early to secure the perfect viewing spot for this cherished holiday tradition.
Farmers Santa Parade: Sunday 30th November 2025
Pre-Parade Entertainment: 12pm – 1pm
Parade: 1 – 2.30pm
Santa’s Party in Aotea Square: 2.30pm – 5pm
Parade Route
The Parade Route is 1.6km long and takes approximately 1 hour to pass any given point.
Top Tip: The best (unknown) viewing spots are Mayoral Drive between Cook Street and Queen Street and Customs Street East. There is usually ample space to even lay down a picnic blanket and then wander either to Santa’s Party or the transport hub afterward!

All inner city roads are closed between 10:00am and 5pm on Sunday 30 November 2025. People are advised to get into the city before 10:00am.
Santa’s Party in Aotea Square
Once families have cheered for their favourite Farmers Santa Parade characters and waved to the man in red, it’s time to get the party started at Santa’s Party. From 2:30pm to 5pm, Santa’s Party will see Aotea Square burst into festive life with FREE entertainment for the whole whanau.
Join hosts, The Hits dynamic trio – Jono, Ben, and Megan – for a lively, action-packed stage show filled with festive Christmas music and dance including the Bluey Live Christmas Experience, where you have the chance to interact with the loveable Heeler siblings, Bluey and her little sister Bingo.
The fun continues off stage with amusement rides, food stalls, and even one last chance to see Santa.
Postponement Date
In the event of adverse weather, a postponement decision will be announced by 9am, Sunday 30 November on the Parade website and Facebook page. If postponed, the Parade will take place on Sunday 7 December.
