Food Trucks at Stardome on Valentines Day

Visit Te Whatu Stardome on Valentines Day on Saturday 14 February for a relaxed early-evening community event combining great street food, planetarium experiences, and a unique outdoor setting.

From 3:00pm to 7:00pm, a curated lineup of food trucks from the Food Truck Collective will be set up on the Stardome lawn, serving a wide range of flavours — perfect for an easy dinner while you explore the event.

Inside the planetarium, Te Whatu Stardome will be running special short Tāmaki Night Sky sessions throughout the afternoon and early evening at a special event price. These sessions are subject to availability and bookings are essential via the Stardome website.

This is a family-friendly event and a great opportunity to enjoy food, learning, and time together in one of Auckland’s most iconic locations, with views of the observatory and Maungakiekie.

Important information: Te Whatu Stardome is located within Maungakiekie (One Tree Hill), one of the Tūpuna Maunga of Tāmaki Makaurau. Visitors are asked to respect this special place while enjoying the event. Please note the Tūpuna Maunga are alcohol-free and smoke-free at all times.
