This July school holiday bring the kids down to the Navy Museum and try out our Future Fleets activity booklet and make their own 3D ship.
The kids can learn about navy ships of the past, and get creative in thinking about navy ships of the future. Enjoy a trail throughout the galleries, filling out an activity booklet as they go and then using upcycled materials craft their very own 3D ship of the future.
The activity is activity is suitable for children aged 3 years and above, parental supervision in the Museum is required at all times.
On daily during the July school holidays from 10am to 5pm.
The Navy Museum is the kaitiaki guardian of the Royal New Zealand Navy’s memory. Permanent exhibitions showcase the story of the Navy’s contribution to the development of New Zealand’s identity through the lens of the Navy’s values – Courage Tū Kaha, Commitment Tū Tika, Comradeship Tū Tira and Integrity Tū Maia.
