I am Greta | free outdoor cinema

Aotea Square, scene of the School for Climate Change gathering last year, is the setting for the free, outdoor screening of the documentary I am Greta. Come early to get a great spot to watch this incredible film that follows Greta on her global crusade for change. The movie starts at 6:30pm.

Greta Thunberg, a 15-year-old student in Sweden, started a school strike for the climate after asking adults ‘if you don’t care about my future on earth, why should I care about my future in school?’ Within months, her strike evolved into a global movement as the quiet teenage girl on the autism spectrum became a world-famous activist.

Parents, please don’t drop off or leave your children unsupervised at this event. Please note you cannot BYO alcohol to Summer in the Square.
