InMotion Matariki 2019

InMotion Matariki, the magical all-wheels illuminated parade in celebration of Matariki – the Māori New Year – is back.

Decorate your wheels to the theme of Matariki and join Touch Compass “in motion” on a magical journey of discovery through the urban maze of Wynyard Quarter. Bring your wheels – whether a bike, scooter, wheelchair, billy-cart, skateboard, unicycle, or power chair. If you do not have wheels, then join us on foot for a lively walk. Enjoy a mix of sensory installations, art installations and live performance along the way, before a presentation of Touch Compass’ new aerial spectacle, Te Ranga Ika on the Gantry in Silo Park.

The InMotion Matariki parade is a fun, free, inclusive and fully-accessible family-friendly event.

InMotion Matariki is presented by Touch Compass, New Zealand’s leading inclusive performing arts organisation, showcasing artists with and without disabilities.
