Kei ngā rangatira o te āpōpō, nau mai ki te papa tū waewae! The annual inter iwi waiora festival, Iwi of Origin, is back.
Iwi of Origin calls all Māori to pick up the wero and champion your Māoritanga ā iwi through two-days of sports, reo, culture and more.
In 2023 participants are called ‘kia tū tangata mai, tū Māori mai.’
Why? Because when you perform at your potential, you give your best performance for yourself, your whānau, community, hapū, iwi and whakapapa.
Activities include:
- Ancestral Games
- Traditional Māori Games
- Taonga Takaro
- Basketball
- Touch
- Netball
- Rugby
- Rugby League
- Tag Football
- Tennis
- Darts
- Football
Saturday 14 and Sunday 15 October, at Bruce Pulman Park, step into your rangatira space.
