Event Details

While the traditional ceremonies won’t be held this Anzac Day, Auckland Museum will continue to reflect upon and honour the day through lighting our building.

From dusk on Friday 24 April to dawn on Sunday 26, the building will shine poppy-red as a commemorative tribute to this important day.

The poppy is the international symbol for the Anzacs, and the use of this colour recognises the tremendous determination and spirit of our Anzacs and service-people.

If you can see Auckland Museum from your bubble, then look up at it and see it awash in red this Anzac Weekend.
