Matariki on the Waterfront returns to Silo Park once more, promising two days of experiences to invigorate the soul and warm the senses in the cold chill of winter.
The waterfront will come alive with a range of Matariki activities, live entertainment, kai, and a place of connection, remembrance and renewal for all.
PLUS! on Saturday 3rd July there will be a special concert featuring: Annie Crummer, HERBS (acoustic), Marley Sola, MGN-My Greatest Now & DJ Sandy Mill Music.
Iwi manaaki Ngāti Whātua Ōrakei, will be extending their manaakitanga. As Ahi Kaa, keepers of the fires of Tāmaki Makaurau, they invite you to gather around the fire, sit with traditional weavers and experience mahi toi by some their finest artists, including new art installations by Hana Maihi, Poi Ngawati & Graeme Tipene.
There will be free Rongoā tea, as well as delicious kai for sale including fry bread burgers, mussel fritters, purini waffles & more.
Come and share this special time of the year down at Silo Park. This is a free event for all ages.
