Dive into a magical underwater world of fish and glow-in-dark jellyfish with your little ones! This immersive performance experience will celebrate the arrival of Raumati (Summer) and our beautiful ocean through themed waiata (songs), kanikani (dancing) and whaakari (theatre). Perfect for babies, toddlers, and preschoolers, this gentle morning will explore bilingual nursery rhymes, interactive play, and simple movements using a blend of English and te reo Māori.
Guest musician Kāren Hunter plays a range of instruments and has a beautifully soothing voice. Joining her is our very own creative, Kashmir Postel, who will lead the stories and theatrical offerings. The stage will be transformed into an underwater wonderland with cosy nooks. Following the interactive performance, there will be a ika (fish) weaving workshop led by Oriini Maria from Waiheke Island Playcentre.
