Event Details

Soak up the summer vibes this Summer school holidays and switch to flight mode! Explore the science and tech of flight across Great North Road and the Aviation Hall with sunny outdoor fun for the whole whānau.

Design paper planes, create rockets, spin whirligigs and try hands-on challenges that bring lift, drag, and aerodynamics to life.

Get creative with make-and-take crafts, fly kites, play flight-themed games and enjoy open-air adventures in the MOTAT Village.

Visit the new Aviation Hall experience: Ngā hau a Tāwhirirangi Forces of Flight and discover the forces that take you sky high.

Parking: MOTAT recommends parking outside the Aviation Hall and enjoying the FREE heritage tram ride between sites.
