Music in Parks presents Local Sounds with a hand-picked a collection of top te reo artists from across the genres to rejoice in our beautiful native language on Auckland Anniversary Day.

Riqi Harawira the Musician is Māori fusion at its best – te reo Māori, English reggae and high-energy rock music – with strong messages about breaking the chains of depression and addiction. Grove Roots are a collective, a culture, a jam session, a waka for our reo and kaupapa Māori. Their 2018 album Waka included reggae, hip hop, RnB and soul, funk and acoustic beats.
