As part of Auckland Pride 2023, Auckland Museum presents Pride Family Fun Day!

Auckland Musem warmly welcomes LGBTTQIA+ families and their allies to a fun-filled day of craft activities and entertainment, including drag queen storytime with Anita Wigl’it (from RuPaul’s Drag Race – Down Under) and Ivanna Drink.

Add to the vibrant chalk pavement drawings as you enter the building into Te Ao Mārama South Atrium, which will be the base for crafts such as badgemaking and a giant handprint artwork.

Activities include:

  • Badgemaking and rainbow stripe face painting – Under the Tanoa

  • Rainbow hand mural – Gallery Orientation Space

  • Drag Queen Storytime and photo opportunities – Gallery Orientation Space 11AM-12.30PM

  • Chalk mural creations – South Atrium Entrance
