Rainbowgate

For the month of July, Heard Park in Parnell is the space to be to enjoy Rainbowgate, a never before seen light installation specifically designed to artistically celebrate diversity and unity and to inspire awe, wonder and conscious change through large scale immersive experiences.

Not only new to Auckland, but new to New Zealand, this magical light installation encourages families to take a moment in Heard Park this July. A rainbow’s ability to bring joy to just about anyone is probably why they’re painted on kids’ cheeks at fairs, why they’re used to decorate birthday cakes, why they’re mentioned in lyrics and poems and why both current cultures and cultures of the ages all have some mystical ‘rainbow myth’ that extends outside of the science of a rainbow and into the hopeful unknown.

Now more than ever, we are living in a world that needs hope so interact with, and enjoy Rainbowgate.
