Celebrate Rotuman Language Week 2021 at Auckland Museum. Experience the culture of this beautiful island nation, with activities showcasing the richness of the Rotuman language and traditions, starting at 11AM in Te Ao Mārama South Atrium at Auckland Museum.

SCHEDULE
Performances and talks will be held in Te Ao Mārama South Atrium, with the craft activities taking place in our orientation space, located next to Te Ao Mārama South Atrium.
11.30AM – Rotuman Cultural Dance (20 mins)
11.50AM – Island Hula by Danni Freeman (10mins)
12PM – History of Rotuma with Jioje Fatiaki (5-10mins)
12PM-2PM – Activities including Tēfui/para making and colouring-in
1.30PM – Meke Dance by Te Mana Performing Arts (20mins)
1.50PM – Acknowledgements from Fereti Fatiaki (Rotuman) / Rachael Mario (English); Prayers with Elder Toma Vaurasi
2PM – Event finish
