Star Waka acknowledges past, present and future voyaging to and from Aotearoa in all directions, with the stars reflecting navigation patterns over time and space.
Visitors are invited to create a star to add to the installation in the Learning Centre at Te Uru Waitakere Contemporary Gallery.
Presented by Ngā Turuturu o te Tara (Coromandel Weavers Collective) with Maureen Lander, Lizzy Leckie and Chris Charteris.
Te Uru is closed on Christmas Day.
At Alert Levels One and Two, Te Uru is open to the public seven days a week during summer, 10am to 4.30pm.
