Event Details

On Saturday evening, 24 April 2021, gather on the grounds of St Davidā€™s Memorial Church for what may be the last ANZAC service ever at the Soldiersā€™ Memorial Church with the Off Broadway Big Band.

Friends of St Davidā€™s Trust will continue to work to protect the Memorial Church and this Remembrance event will be a night to remember.

Service starts 5pm sharp. Outdoor, standing service of remembrance. Dress warmly and please bring a chair if you need to sit down. The service will finish at 5.30pm with hospitality in the Old Hall next door.

Friends of St Davids

St Davidā€™s was built as the Soldiersā€™ Memorial Church with the promise ā€œto keep green the faith and courage and sacrificeā€ of those who gave their lives in WWI. The Friends of Saint Davidā€™s Trust is a registered New Zealand charity founded to keep that promise, to Remember Them by saving the Soldiersā€™ Memorial Church from demolition.
